The Fender “White” Studio Deluxe 6 Console Steel guitar is a mid-1950s vintage lap steel instrument, built by Fender under the short-lived “White” brand (named after production manager Forrest White). It’s essentially a Studio Deluxe model rebranded for select markets like schools and studios.

It features a six-string, solid-body design with a single-coil pickup, volume and tone controls, and detachable chrome legs that allow it to be played as a console (standing) instrument rather than on the lap.

Known for its bright, clear tone and classic Fender clarity, the instrument is well-suited to country, Hawaiian, blues, and early pop styles. Its sturdy console format provides stability and comfortable playing posture, making it popular in both studio and live settings.

Today, the White Studio Deluxe 6 is considered a rare and collectible piece of early Fender history, valued for its distinctive branding, vintage construction, and smooth, expressive slide sound.
