A task team was formed at Martin to create a guitar inspired by traditional American "Tattoo" art, hence the Limited Edition Tattoo model that features "tawny satinwood" HPL back and sides, an HPL top with imprinted graphics created by Robert Armstrong, and a natural Stratabond neck. Each guitar is furnished with a special dark brown leatherette case with traditionally embossed faux leather tooling and mauve plush interior.
